Memorial and Celebration of Life for Verna Parino

Verna Parino was passionate about life, family, Girl Scouts, Opera and most especially Richard Wagner's "der Ring des Nibelungen", which she had seen 76 times in venues around the world. At 2:00 on August 9th, we will gather for a traditional memorial service, followed by a Wagnerian-themed Celebration of Life at the Community Church in Mill Valley. Please join us.

Please come armed with short "Very Verna" stories that you can contribute to the Celebration portion of the afternoon. Please try and keep them at a maximum of 3-4 minutes.

I will be updating this site with news and more photos and such periodically so please check back and feel free to add your own thoughts, stories and photos here. If you would like to contribute food for the celebration, please contact Juliana Gaul at damejb@pacbell.net.

I am also looking for some specific information on Mom's years with Eastern Star, the  Girl Scouts, Triple C, the Outdoor Art Club, the Marin Chapter of the San Francisco Opera Guild and the Wagner Society. Please feel free to post them here, so others can enjoy knowing more Verna's various passions.

We are expecting a sizable number of people, so are asking that you register at:

(sorry, the link is not clickable, but you can copy and paste it into your browser, make sure you get both lines) so we can let the church know what to expect and we can have enough comestibles.

Please be aware of our size limitations and be circumspect about public postings.
